We’re back and ready to kick off a new year of poetry! Head down to
Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea Washington St. to join us for some fabulous poetry and keep-you-warm treats. Whether you’re a page poet, slammer, performance artist or refuse a label, we want to hear your new stuff on our open mic. We look forward to sharing great poetry (and great coffee) with you and invite you to join this free open mic and monthly reading series!

This month’s feature: JILL DARLING

Jill Darling is the author of the poetry collections (re)iteration(s), a geography of syntax, Solve For, begin with may: a series of moments, and two collaborative chapbooks with Laura Wetherington and Hannah Ensor: at the intersection of 3, and The First Steps are the Deepest. Her critical poetics essays can be found on Entropy, How2, Something on Paper, The Quint, and Ethos Review. She’s also had poems, essays, and short fiction published in journals including Denver Quarterly, /NOR, Aufgabe, 580 Split, Quarter After Eight, factorial, Rampike, and others. Darling teaches at UM in Dearborn and Ann Arbor, and lives in Ypsilanti.
